Ichiya-Boshi is whole squid air-dried overnight ("one night") using Hokkaido-caught surumeika, giving it a softer, more tender bite than fully dried squid jerky — traditionally grilled lightly before eating.

Made by Yamaei Foods, a Hokkaido seafood processor, and sold in supermarkets nationwide.
